If you do not live in the Wellington, Porirua or Kapiti regions, you can call the Ministry of Health's freephone line 0800 Mum2Be (0800 686 223) during business hours and they will give you the phone numbers of midwives in your area.
MATPRO also provides free pregnancy and parenting antenatal education classes in both Newtown and Porirua that you and your partner/support person can attend together. You will learn what to expect during the later stages of your pregnancy and how to prepare for the arrival of your baby.
